In the city of history, beauty, art and traditions, Folklore Ensemble Lindoor acting for decades. The first auditon is held in 1964, the same year that this ensebmle is founded. From that time until today, the ensemble had about three thousand members who have reached excellent results wherever they performed. The holdings of the ensemble has about 1500 folk costumes, priceless values, and memebers still dance wearing them. The «Linđo» Folklore Ensemble in Dubrovnik
The first visit was held in 1966 in Italy. For decades Lindo with their performances successfully promoted the name of Dubrovnik and the Croatia in Italy, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, U.S., Australia, Japan, Uruguay, Argentina ... Was honored at numerous festivals, and is particularly proud of the Gold Medal and Gold Plate, which won at the International Folk Festival in France 1973. This achievement has added this ensemles to the best folk ensembles in Europe.
To be able to dance and sing in Lindo today means to be social, popular and beloved. In 40 years the exchange of many generations of members, ment great friendships and love. Today Lindo is important and indispensable cultural event in Dubrovnik, Lindo is the symbol of the good spirit of the city.
In Dubrovnik Lindo Folklore Ensemble in the summer months maintain their performances every Friday and Monday at the premises of Lazaret beginning at 21:30 pm. Also performing as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
