Why to stay in the Old Town in Dubrovnik?

If you arrive by car please note that there is no possibility to park in the old town. You wll have to drag luggage through town to the rented accommodation, or you can agree in advance with the owner to welcome you on Pile Gate or Ploče Gate, and thus relieve yourself  coming to a booked apartment.
